The DO A TREK TO REMEMBER– Challenge Brisbane - 15 & 16 August 2020 will see you and your teams walk from Mt Nebo to Enoggera Reservoir The Gap through the D’Aguilar National Park.
Distance 23km - This event will offer you and your friends the opportunity to test your fitness and enjoy the spirit of camaraderie whilst completing a 23KM endurance trek across south-east Queensland in teams of four to six. Raising money and creating awareness for the great work that Dementia Australia delivers to the Australian communities.
The trek begins at Enoggera Reservoir with registration opening at 0600 at Enoggera Reservoir, The Gap in Brisbane. After you park your cars (carpooling is suggested as there are limited spots) please board buses for Mt.Nebo, at your selected team time between 0600-1030 please make sure that you have your entry bib displayed before you board the bus. After a small trek brief at Mt.Nebo School to recognise the purpose of the trek – DEMENTIA AUSTRALIA. There are complimentary BBQ’s and fruit at Mt.Nebo, then you can begin your trek, which should take between 5-7hours to complete. The route will take you through D’Aguilar National Park, stunning rainforest and rolling hills, the trek is mostly downhill however there are a few challenging uphill’s along the way.
DO I HAVE TO FUNDRAISE?
The minimum fundraising of $90.00 per person is a compulsory requirement and teams not meeting their minimum will not be permitted to start the event. You will also be kept up to date with regular email ideas and suggestions as we source them to assist you as much as possible.
$90.00 per person , minimum 4 persons per team , maximum 6 persons per team , includes Free bus from The Gap to Mt.Nebo, parking at the THE GAP available, light BBQ meals at Mt.Nebo and the finish line, Medical team, three drink stations, support vehicles ,official entry bib.
